Invia Robotics (2021 - 2022) Application Support Engineer:
InVia helps companies move products around warehouses by manufacturing robots and developing the software to accomplish this task. The bots move Incoming products to shelves in the warehouse, software plans just in time movement of orders to areas for picking, and then return the totes that hold the product back to racks in the warehouse or replenishment areas saving countless hours of walking. I was hired to be part of InVia Robotic Operations Center (ROC) Team. This team helps clients keep robots moving the warehouse as well as other things such as updating software on robots, and certification of their quality prior to shipping.
Factual (2014 - 2020) Technical Account Manager (TAM):
Factual is where people go for location data. The company has been collecting data from billions of inputs since 2008. We sell data sets for 70 million places spanning 50 countries. I was hired as Technical Account Manager, helping to ease the challenges between clients and our technical team. I was responsible for developing a system to deliver data to all of our clients as well as help them with any issues they might have with our data.
Zest Finance (2011 - 2013) IT Support:
Zest is a Startup Company using Big Data in a unique way to underwrite loans for the Under-banked. New for me, was our 100% cloud based infrastructure. Our team was responsible for user support. I created process and scripts facilitating error free user administration as our size increased 4x! Other projects were: email, telephone, wireless, security, workstation imaging, and company name change. My part was mostly technical, but often included project management and vendor coordination. Projects ran smoothly, without errors or unplanned interruptions. I created and maintained two Wikis, one with IT information for users, and one technical documentation site.
Google (2007 - 2010) Systems Administrator:
I worked with the Acquisitions Team. We helped acquired companies by setting them up in a pre-Google production environment while engineers prepared their service for production. My job was a dual Project Management and Technical role. Along with day to day work, I was responsible for installation service on Linux and Windows servers file replication in control racks, and Windows anti-virus protection. I was a large contributor to our documentation effort. I also had some involvement with our Corporate Linux distribution "Goobuntu". My main focus was on pushing or "wrangling" distribution updates, testing and verification of bugs/fixes at release.
Google (2006 - 2007) IT Field Technician:
Issues, which require hands on support, are escalated to the Field Tech organization. We were also responsible for equipment setup for new employees and oddball issues in local machine rooms. I worked with the Google Santa Monica team during a strong growth period where we more than doubled the number of employees, added two offices, and supported our Mexico City office.
Executive Network Services (2005 - 2006) Network Administrator / Consultant:
